A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF DOWNS, KANSAS, FROM K.S.A. 1980 SUPP. 75-1120a, WHICH REQUIRES CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES OF THE STATE OF KANSAS TO MAINTAIN FIXED ASSET RECORDS FOR BUILDINGS AND LAND.

Section 1. The City of Downs, Kansas, a mayor-council city of the third class, by the power invested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to and does exempt itself from the provisions of K.S.A. 1980 Supp. 75-1120a, and while still conforming with all other generally accepted accounting principles, makes inapplicable to said city that portion of said statute which would otherwise require said city to maintain fixed asset records for buildings and land.
